Special Education Update
This workshop is designed for Special Education Providers and Administrators.  Click here for full Brochure of break out sessions. 

Learning Objectives:
  • Changes to Special Education Law, Procedures and Edplan;
  • Opportunity to obtain professional development by choosing from several breakout sessions;
  • Opportunity to update CPI certification
  • Network with your Special Education Director during Lunch
Lunch Options:  Please note that you have the option to bring or buy your lunch.  We are offering a boxed lunch prepared by Brian's Market, which includes:

Sandwich, Chips, Fruit, Cookie, Pop or Watertake out lunch box

Choice of sandwich:  Turkey, Ham, or Vegetarian

Cost:  $5 (cash) collected when you sign in at registration.  Be sure to make your lunch selection when registering. 

In addition, if you wish to attend the CPI refresher class(es), select during registration.  There is a capacity of 25 per session. 

FOR NEW SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS/PROVIDERS - Please also visit the New Teacher Orientation on the calendar for August 26th and register for that session.

Review of the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training (ASD Module)                                                                                                                      

Must have current valid CPI certification in order to participate in refresher.                                                  

By participating in this formal refresher training, you are building on the foundation of the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention program and enhancing your
ability to confidently and competently apply training concepts and intervention
strategies to your interactions with individuals with autism spectrum disorders.

Wear comfortable clothing for physicals.

Target Audience:  Those seeking recertification for CPI.  MUST have a valid CPI card in order to participate in refresher course.

The Keypoint Refresher is designed to help improve your understanding of key program concepts, enhance your skills and answer any questions you may have about how to apply the information to your workplace realities.
